VietnamWood to be staged Oct. 18-21.

Riding on its successful performance two years ago as Asia’s leading exhibition of wood processing solutions for the furniture sector, the biennial Vietnam International Woodworking Industry Fair (VietnamWood) will be back on the stage with greater momentum on Oct. 18-21.

At its 12^th edition this year, VietnamWood has incorporated concerted efforts from the co-organizers, Ministry of Industry & Trade – Vietnam National Trade Fair & Advertising Company (VINEXAD) and Yorkers Trade & Marketing Service Co., Ltd., while also gaining solid support from relevant government agencies as well as domestic and international industrial associations.

VietnamWood will see more than 320 exhibitors from 25 countries and regions using record gross exhibition space of over 20,000 square meters (including outdoor exhibition halls). Exclusively endorsed by European Federation of Woodworking Machinery Manufacturers (Eumabois) and officially supported by Binh Duong Furniture Associations (BIFA) and Vietnam Timber and Forest Product Association (VIETFORES), the trade fair has proved a highly professional and fruitful platform for business exchanges between exhibitors and trade visitors in the woodworking sector.  

Prominent brands from America, Asia, Europe and Oceania

As the largest woodworking machinery exhibition in Vietnam, VietnamWood has managed to gather world-class suppliers to provide optimal manufacturing solutions needed to bolster the growth of the woodworking industry and market in Vietnam. Elite exhibitors from around the world will fill up seven international pavilions at VietnamWood 2017, namely US Pavilion, France Pavilion, China Pavilion, Germany Pavilion, Sweden Pavilion, Taiwan Pavilion and Canada Pavilion. Seminars hosted by reputable international and domestic industry associations

This year, VietnamWood will see two of the most influential organizations in the woodworking industry to host seminars to shed lights on the expertise and recipes concerning optimal woodworking and furniture production operations.

One of them is Swedish Wood, an institution focusing on promoting technical knowledge about wood processing. The organization’s Director Mikael Eliasson and Interior & Design Director Charlotte Dedye Apelgren will run three seminar sessions on October 19 on the topics: Swedish wood, the optimal material for furniture production; modern design furniture; and Sweden, the world’s third largest sawn wood exporter.

The other is the Handicraft and Wood Industry Association of Ho Chi Minh city (HAWA), the most influential industrial group in the woodworking sector in Vietnam. Their keynote speaker will talk about how digital and automation technologies are affecting the woodworking industry and whether the influence will last long. Living in a digital world of the 21^st century, all industry professionals are expected to show great interest in and benefit from such a subject.
